MD-Resource (MDR), a healthcare management services organization headquartered in Central Virginia, has purchased Collaborative Health Partners (CHP), a clinically integrated network of care providers who are committed to maximizing the value of healthcare services provided to patients throughout the Central and Southern Virginia area.
"We are excited to expand our focus and leverage the great work CHP has initiated in the value and employer-based healthcare space. This acquisition allows us to combine resources and efforts, enhancing our ability to serve our clients and better assist them in achieving success in the ever-changing, value-based marketplace," said Shawn Crawford, CEO of MDR.
CHP has developed effective, direct primary care initiatives, which have been well demonstrated in previous and current employer arrangements. Active employer agreements will remain intact, as will arrangements with current physician-group clients, such as CVFP Medical Group.
As part of this acquisition, MDR will adopt Collaborative Health Partners' name and brand. The CHP brand has become a trusted source of health information for local employers with its patient-focused platform of providing both quality and lower costs of care.
"We are not done yet," said Crawford. "We soon plan to reveal other key decisions, which will be an integral part of our growth. Our goal is to remain at the forefront of helping develop, support, and deliver excellent healthcare services within the communities we live, work, and serve."
